CampaignOUT Project

What is CampaignOUT?

At ReportOUT, we campaign for social justice for sexual and gender minorities, and we want to bring an end to the injustice, discrimination and human rights abuses of people globally. Our CampaignOUT project is about increasing the temperature on those who would bring harm to us, as well bringing the wider public on board with our journey. Whether we are involved with developing campaigner societies in educational establishments, raising awareness of human rights abuses or engaging with global activists and mechanisms, our Campaign Officers are a dedicated and motivated team.

Please explore some of our previous,

current and upcoming work below.

Current Campaign: Corrective Rape

One of the most brutal forms of so-called ‘conversion’ therapy is the practice of ‘corrective rape.’ Also known as ‘curative rape’, this is a hate crime in which one or more people are raped because of their perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. The common intended consequence of the rape, as seen by the perpetrator, is to ‘turn’ the person heterosexual or to enforce conformity with gender stereotypes. In the U.K., corrective rape has not been part of the dialogue in terms of ending conversion therapy, and we want to make sure that it is. Want to read about our plans? See more information below.

Current Campaign: #OUTinPoland

Parts of Poland have created over 100 'LGBT exclusion' zones and Polish sexual and gender minorities are being ostracised, attacked and discriminated against throughout the country as a result of it. ReportOUT took part in a virtual walk from Lublin to Rzeszow, doing 100 miles in 100 days with our campaign team. This was to lead with solidarity and to offer a donation to the work of Równość, a Polish equality organisation. Want to read more about what we did? Click below.

Exposure: Global Photography Competition (2021)

Our ‘Exposure’ Global Photography Competition is open to sexual and gender minorities across the globe. It is about exposing to the world, your own authentic photographs of your activism, your pride, your resistance and your community. We invite you to submit your own photography to our competition, so we can build up a photobank of what is happening across the world, with winning pieces receiving a prize! You do not have to be an expert photographer to take part and we invite all to get involved.

Want to find out more about our competition? Sign up to our mailing list and follow us of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date! Read more details about applying below.
